Number Access operates its own telecommunications switching and network infrastructure. We operate behind the scenes, providing underlying network capabilities to carriers and communications providers—not retail services to their subscribers. Our customers maintain their own subscriber and end-user relationships.

Our carrier capabilities

• Our own OCN: Number Access has its own Operating Company Number (OCN), identifying it within telecommunications numbering and routing systems.
• Toll-free RespOrg: Number Access holds its own Responsible Organization authorization for toll-free number administration.
• Our own switches: We operate telecommunications switches and routing infrastructure, with operational control over our own network environment.

These capabilities give us direct involvement in service delivery, numbering, and routing. Like other carriers, we interconnect with outside networks where necessary; not every call or message is carried entirely on our infrastructure.

Behind the service, at the network layer

Our customer-facing offering is intentionally simple: Numbers, Voice, Messaging, and Intelligence. Behind those services is a carrier organization with network operations, interconnection experience, and numbering expertise.
