General Data Protection Regulation

Overview

The General Data Protection Regulation, enacted under European Union law, adopted on April 14, 2016, and became enforceable on May 25, 2018, provides data protection and privacy for all individual citizens of the European Union and addresses the transfer of personal data outside of the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA).
